Grooming For You Is What We Do!™
Groomer Trail Updates
-
Oneida County has announced the final closure of trails county wide – as of 8:00 am Tuesday March 24.
We hope you have enjoyed riding our Minocqua Forest Rider Trails this season.

Trail reports from groomers out Thur night (2/26) and Fri morning (2/27) all report trails in very good condition. With warm weather today, we will be on a partial grooming schedule tonight awaiting the return of sub-freezing temperatures. Be cautious of icy areas. Logging on Trail G and parts of Trail 12W has these sections down to bare gravel.

With the snow that fell over the last couple of days we are starting to get some base back after the meltdown a week ago. We are still seeing the trails in major traffic areas and close to town continue to deteriorate, with some hills and corners becoming very icy, and even our machines are having some issues navigating them. Some trails we are only able to groom in one direction because of the slick conditions.
I would give an overall rating today as good conditions for most of our trails. With the fluctuating upcoming temps, we can expect that the trails will continue to deteriorate until more snow comes. We will also not groom on days that the temps are above freezing.
We are still seeing logging in the Willow region on Trail 12 near Trail G and Trail G is still plowed to the dirt. There has also been logging starting on trail BB just west of the bridge by Black Bear. They are not logging the trail, but will be crossing the trail to get to the road.
We hope to get a few more weeks in, and March can bring some healthy snowstorms.
