The Minocqua Forest Riders Snowmobile Club is a 100% volunteer-driven organization dedicated to building, maintaining, and grooming some of the best snowmobile trails in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.

Founded by local riders who believed great trails don’t happen by accident, the club has spent decades working behind the scenes to keep our trail system safe, connected, and ride-ready. Today, our volunteers maintain miles of trail across forests, lakes, and communities that thousands of riders enjoy each winter.

But great trails require more than snowfall. They require people.

Our members donate hundreds of hours every season to clear brush, install signage, maintain equipment, groom trails, and coordinate with landowners, businesses, and local government agencies. It’s demanding work that happens early mornings, late nights, and in tough weather—but it’s what keeps the Northwoods riding experience alive.

We are also proud to support our community through events, partnerships with local businesses, and initiatives that promote safe and responsible snowmobiling.

Snowmobiling is more than a sport here—it’s part of the culture, part of the economy, and part of what makes winter in the Northwoods special.
